Ann Byrne

Facilitate Action to Transform Lives

Coaching is a process which is a catalyst for change for people to transform their lives. I work with clients to identify their passions, values and strengths, explore the thinking patterns that are not serving them well.   Support them to take the first step to action.  As a coach I facilitate clients to unlock their true potential.     

Human behaviour and personal development has been an interest of mine having spent over 25 years in marketing roles in the pharmaceutical and FMCG sectors.  Personal development conversations with teams, listening to colleagues tease out their thoughts and feelings, being a thinking partner to facilitate their next steps, and encouraging action, these were the threads that showed me the area of work I needed to pursue following a corporate career.  I transitioned to a new career in coaching and trained as a specialist Transition Coach. 


As an experienced transition coach, I work with individuals in some of the most significant transitions of their life.   Moving into leadership or moving from leadership roles within an organisation, individuals who wish to transition back into the workforce, following some time out, and individuals who are planning their exit and retirement from the workforce.   Working with a transition coach is a self-reflective dynamic process which takes time and commitment. For successful transition it is important to reflect and take time to plan the new phase. 

 

Resilience is a key competency for transition, the adaptability to and for change.  I have given talks to medical professionals on the importance of building resilience. I have facilitated team workshops on resilience, understanding stress and the importance of a growth mind-set.   I have facilitated workshop on Marketing and on Leadership Transformation programmes.   Learning is a strong value of mine and continuous professional development is important, positive psychology, development in neuroscience, understanding our emotions and the role they play in our behaviours are areas interest.  Knowing and developing EQ leads to success for clients. 


I have mentored the advisors on the Marketing and Development Programme in Smurfit Business College.   Developing their emotional intelligence, personal awareness knowledge of who they are and the impact of their attitudes and behaviours were a key focus of this work. 


Authentic, calm, and easy to talk to, deep listener, curious, encouraging and fun are words that have been used to describe me.  Nature is my inspiration and I enjoy the space and perspectives that walking the hills gives me.  Experiencing diversity of cultures through travel is another passion of mine.

Niall Murray

Niall is a qualified coach and experienced business leader of over 30 years including 15 at Board level. With a wide range of business and coaching experience, Niall brings a wealth of expertise to his coaching practice.

Niall’s clients gain considerable value from his engaging coaching style combined with his executive and board experience. Niall brings a sound framework, a clear process as well as application of established tools. Niall is a results oriented person and applies this approach to his coaching clients, to help them identify goals and achieve clear outcomes.


Niall has coached senior executives from a wide range of sectors including financial services, media, tourism, technology, medical, retail & charity sectors. Niall’s experience of working with executives up and down a major multinational financial institution allows him to add significant value at all management levels. In particular, he can help individuals improve their personal performance and effectiveness through his own experience as CEO of a global organisation.


Prior to embarking on a coaching career, Niall was CEO of KBC’s Global infrastructure finance business. Niall led the strategic direction of KBC’s operations in Ireland, UK, Europe, US, Asia and Australia as a Global Arranger and Underwriter of infrastructure debt.  Working in a global context, Niall has had to address complex political and personnel issues, transitional challenges and work with a variety of management styles and cultures.

Between 2010-2016, Niall was a member of the CEO forum of the Federation of International Banks in Ireland (FIBI) and has also been a member of IBEC’s Financial Services Industry Banking and Treasury Group
